We all call ourselves feminists, and there's nothing wrong with that. We aspire to be independent, strong women—there's nothing wrong with that either. But somewhere along the way, feminism has been twisted into an idea that a woman doesn't need a man, that she can do everything alone, that seeking support makes her weak.
True feminism isn't about denial—it's about self-discovery. But have we ever stopped to ask ourselves, is this absolute independence really the truth? Before dividing ourselves into categories of superiority, shouldn't we first recognize that we are, above all, human? The most intelligent species created by God, yet still bound by the simplest of needs—the need to be seen, to be understood, to be held. It is not a weakness to admit that. Be it man or woman, we are incomplete without each other. If one had been enough, would there have been a need to create the other?
